It is never too early to start TALKING, READING, SINGING and PLAYING with your child. Our Babytime sessions are full of good ideas that you can implement at home to enrich your child's literacy skills.

First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with Western Downs Regional Council.

Storytime sessions are held each Tuesday at 9.30am and Thursday at 9.30am.

These sessions are directed for children aged from 2 to 5 years old. Storytime’s fun-filled sessions include stories and some simple craft.

Please note that the Thursday session is a repeat of the Tuesday session.

Bookings are strictly essential. Bookings open 9.30am on the Wednesday prior to the weeks sessions.

This is a COVID Safe Event. DO NOT ATTEND if you are feeling unwell, or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 7 days. Photos and/or videos may be taken at this event for promotional purposes.

Join Miriam, from Naturally Unique Essentials, in this 1.5 hour workshop to learn about the uses and benefits of common garden weeds. Then get hands on, creating your own herbal oil and lip balm to take home. 

No medical will be given at this workshop.

Come and join the fun and get crafting a very special gift for mum on Mother's Day! Participants will make and create everything they need to make mum's day special, from the gift to the card and the bag!

Cuppa and a Chat is held at Chinchilla Library on the second Wednesday of each month from 10am. Everyone is welcome. If you're new to the area and looking to become a part of this beautiful community, or even if you've lived here forever. Come along!
