It is never too early to start TALKING, READING, SINGING and PLAYING with your child. Our Babytime sessions are full of good ideas that you can implement at home to enrich your child's literacy skills.

First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with Western Downs Regional Council.

Storytime sessions are held each Tuesday at 9.30am and Thursday at 9.30am.

These sessions are directed for children aged from 2 to 5 years old. Storytime’s fun-filled sessions include stories and some simple craft.

Please note that the Thursday session is a repeat of the Tuesday session.

Bookings are strictly essential. Bookings open 9.30am on the Wednesday prior to the weeks sessions.

This is a COVID Safe Event. DO NOT ATTEND if you are feeling unwell, or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 7 days. Photos and/or videos may be taken at this event for promotional purposes. 

Storytime is a fun, play-based environment which encourages language development and social interaction for children under 5. Sessions feature nursery rhymes, finger plays, action songs, free play and a story. 

All of our Storytime sessions are carefully planned to enhance your child's cognitive, fine motor and early literacy skills.

Open ended play sessions for children of all ages.

Have fun playing with your child and sharing in their delight as they make new discoveries. Step away from your regular routine and the distractions of home into a space just for you and your family, or invite your friends for a special play date!

Playtime is an opportunity for parents/caregivers and children 0-5 years to play, pick up early literacy tips, network with other families and make new friends.

Toddler Storytime is a fun, play-based environment which encourages language development and social interaction for toddlers to four years. Sessions feature nursery rhymes, action songs, free play and a story!

This is a new, regular program where children can come along and listen to a story and do an activity. Each fortnight will be different and will vary with some weeks being art and others may be a technology lesson. Unfortunately, you won't know until you come along, but, we can ensure you that each fortnight we will be doing something fun.

This program is for children that are in prep to year six and is suitable for both boys and girls. Everyone is welcome.
